Pros

The pay is very good.

Cons

Constant surveillance, and management's obsessive need to know your every thought, made this the most bizarre work experience, ever. Bullying based on superior grasp of Ray Dalio's "Principles" was extensive. Being able to view recordings of top management meetings was fascinating, mostly because it showed how the "Principles", in practice, were applied not as tools for understanding, but as tools of dominance.

Pros

Pay, Benefits, Amazing ℅-workers, free lunch and snacks, quality friendships. The promise of speaking your mind, holding people accountable, asking questions.

Cons

Min 50 hrs a/week, no work/life balance, under daily intense pressure and stress, outdated technology - excel over used, large turn over, constantly training newbies or taking on the workload of those that management deems below the bar. Losing your job is always just around the corner. Money making departments (employees - bonuses) favored over non-profit support or back office departments. Friendships are strong and deep because of the intense environment which at times simulates war. The promise of speaking your mind, holding people accountable, asking questions. - can become way too much sometimes as it can hinder getting things done. Overwhelming workload, "culture homework", Ray's apps to monitor feedback, reviews on coworkers, emotions = endless to dos and not enough time.

Pros

Truly an amazing place to work, grow and evolve as a person, and develop meaningful relationships. Co-workers become family and are so invested in helping you become the best version of yourself.

Cons

The commute from NYC is not ideal (but still worth the drive for the experience!) but my group had relaxed WFH policies and some groups are opening up spaces in NYC to work from.
