Pros

I have worked at BrightBytes for two years. Over the past year the company has really gone from a start up to scalable company. We are building solutions that support K12 in ways that no other company is doing. The people are very passionate and work hard together to meet deadlines. Educators love our products. Management is open to new ideas and thoughts. I feel like our voices are heard and that I play an important role in achieving our mission. I think there is a lot of opportunity to advance. I left my last job because I felt like most of us had no opportunity for growth.

Cons

I have a lot to accomplish in a small amount of time and I sometimes feel overwhelmed. I am new to K12 and it seems to be a competitive market and hard for smaller companies to get real traction

Pros

The only thing better than the Mission is the people here at BB. I guess there is a reason why we are very intentional about our hiring process. Carefully pulling together data scientists, school teachers, artists, top engineers, and researchers to make actually make a huge impact on the way K-12 schools think about data and research. A company that helps over 1 in 5 schools in the US.. What's not to like...

Cons

Some folks, depending on your role, work long hours to get projects done. I guess every work place has those folks though.. So... I got nothing here.
