Pros

Great atmosphere, company really wants to have everyone work along together. 18 pto days, friendly coworkers, very laid back. 401k match 6%, decent benefits

Cons

Everyone is too friendly and open. drama is spread around quick. Being new you get sucked into that type of culture and start being buddy buddy. next thing you know you're fired over something that most people in the company didnt see as an issue. Since everyone is so close and having fun, its easy to wanna join along. Being new its hard to sit there and ignore everyone else who is on their phones or talking about sports/weekend plans.

Pros

Genuine desire to differentiate the company in the financial services industry. Brighthouse has a unique vision of simplifying the life insurance and annuity business so that it's more understandable for the average American, leading to more financial security as people retire and plan for their families. The leadership team believes in this noble purpose and all the company has to do now is figure out how to get there. It's an exciting time to join, because everything is being built and everyone has the ability to contribute opinions, ideas and work toward what the company will be.

Cons

A lot of MetLife employees moved to Brighthouse, so there are a lot of complex processes that were brought over that will still need to be revisited and maybe ultimately changed. It seems that people are willing though.
