Pros

Great team energy, flexible schedule, easy to use tech stack, strong sales enablement team. Diverse team, at least outwardly devoted to inclusion. Strongly defined sales process. Excellent training. Invested in my growth despite no clear promotion path. Fun and friendly leadership, overall great people.

Cons

Saturated market with lots of competition, SMB sales in general is difficult, comp plan and quotas change every quarter with little notice, no clearly defined promotion path /shifting goalposts with regards to promotion path, switched me from salary to hourly randomly and changed our pay schedule which resulted in an effective pay cut per paycheck. When covid hit, almost all of those laid off were women and people of color.

Pros

Broadly was a company I had the pleasure to work in. I really enjoyed the friendliness of all colleagues there and the benefits and compensation was acceptable in my standards. I loved what I did when I was with Broadly and will recommend anyone that has goals aligned with them!

Cons

Nothing I can think of!

Pros

Three weeks of PTO. Paid Holidays. Free lunch on Tuesdays. Free snacks and beverages. Dog friendly office. Nice friendly people.

Cons

Training: If you are a hands on learner, this job isn’t for you. During training, they do a series of video chat training with PowerPoints. They provide you with the information but doesn’t allow you to actually do hands on after giving you the information. This just doesn’t work for everyone. They also don’t cater to learning disabilities even if you mention it to them. I went through weeks of training telling the company that I need hands on training while also mentioning my disability to HR. They didn’t cater. They will also test you on the knowledge after a few weeks of training. Though, when receiving a lot of knowledge at the rate they give you, testing should be broken down into segments. They will also tell you that the test is just to see where the company can improve on training and doesn’t effect your employment. They don’t tell you if you don’t pass the test that they will terminate you immediately. However, this seem to be a new concept. Current employers did poorly on the test and kept their positions. Other employers were allowed to take the test multiple times. Communication: They will ask you how you’re feeling while employed, but will not provide feedback on how you’re doing. This is a feedback based company. Management: The company seem to lack diversity in their management. There’s only one minority in management. This can be an issue. They don’t have the ability to transcend culture. Staff: The staff is generally nice. However, I did have certain instances that felt racist. The team that I worked on was mostly white. They seated the BIPOC people together. A coworker, in front of management, stated about my braided hair that it was very “African American” of me. This is bound to happen when there’s a lack of diversity. Pay: Its above average for this position. They don’t provide relocation benefits. I moved from another city to take this position.
