Sinking ship

Transparent culture Good pay and excellent benefits Flexible hours and a generous work from home policy Great office locations

Cons

Incompetent senior management have placed people with no software development experience as software development managers. These managers in turn force developers to commit to unrealistic deadlines leading to poor code quality. The company claims to operate as a meritocracy but favoritism dominates the culture. Management only rewards people close to it. Very high attrition rate: most of the good engineers work here for a year or two before moving to Google, FB etc.

We are at the point need to make some adjustments.

Cons

Broadway was a great place for both college grads and experienced hires in the past 3 years. After the ION buyout, a few great tech leads who actually know stuff and senior software engineers are leaving for Google, FB, and other top-tier companies. 1. figuring out who should lead and drive the development team. If not, it is time to find someone in the market who really has deep technical knowledge and product vision. 2. Culture is the key for people staying in Broadway. The competitive salary, great office locations and flexible working environment.
