Pros
In the IT department, historically I have felt valued as an employee. PTO accumulation is great. Pretty flexible for work schedule. Understanding of work/life balance. Enjoyable employee engagement activities. Pay rate is decent but not great. The people I work with daily are excellent teammates and we work together well.
Cons
The organization is turning into another one cutting employee benefits to save money. I don't feel valued. They removed the program for advancement and didn't replace it with anything so now I have no way to advance. Our insurance got changed to a cheaper, crappier company (United Health). I now owe a lot more in healthcare costs yearly. IT is forcing their workers back into the office with no tangible benefit. Continuing education programs have been cut. The new CEO is untrustworthy and I don't believe he actually cares about anything other than making money. I am looking for other jobs.
