Varies by dept. - some managers are good but most staff at the top of the org. have major issues and that trickles down. Some women in leadership, but there can still be rampant sexism at the dept. level.

Cons

HR is overwhelmed and ineffective. Low pay and mediocre benefits. Favortism and a toxic/drama-heavy culture in many departments. Disrespect for clients.

Pros

The work being done is very beneficial to the community and I was able to directly see the positive impact of my work.

Cons

There is no support from management and from day one of working there, I was consistently overworked to the point of burning out. There are not enough case managers for the number of clients that we have.

-(my team specifically) a great work environment -great supervisor -friendly coworkers

Cons

-the salary is extremely low, realistically I can't survive on it for much longer - the higher-ups (I mean my bosses boss and up) take a very long time to respond -high turn over rate because of salary
