Pros

There are some humble people in this company and some people are good hearted and work to create an environment that makes it easy for individuals to work.401k and all benefits are great, also Saturday and Sunday are off which is a plus

Cons

The worst company in the bronx if I was suppose to work for a non profit I'll work for children aid.CFO EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR AMISTRATION are the worst people you encounter they have no people skills except the (receptionist in the 2nd floor) they work people to the bone and they make employees do work that they not suppose to do.eillen Torres is one of the worst executives director in bronxworks and she keeps baby cats in conference room.the receptionist for the executive director isn't innocent too she bad mouth people behind there back and sometimes steals petty cash to pick up children. For individuals to make it in this company either have to have a hook up or kiss up to someone to get a good position even if that person is unqualified. This company has a high turnover for employees and don't pay for raises.eillen Torres uses bronxworks like it's her own piggy bank after making 238,000 $ a year talk about no raises.human resources also doesnt have employees back there only loyal to executive director.they also raise cats in the backyard of the company.there verbal abusers and physical abusers, they get away with a lot of things and they've been doing it for years.if your trying to be part for this company please read this your career is more important.

Pros

My first position was as a case manager and my program director was amazing. They were very understanding that I did not speak Spanish, worked with me and was always assisting me when I needed it. My previous co-workers we're helpful and I appreciated them even though I felt left out at times, I knew I had help when I needed it. It was a well run, never overwhelming program. If I ever needed time to catch up or update my case files, my program director always gave me enough time to get it done. Talking to her was easy and I never felt pressured.

Cons

I got transferred to another program because my contract was not renewed. It was by far the WORST decision that happened to me. My immediate supervisor was amazing and I knew I could come to her for all the help I needed. The Program Director and other supervisors there...never again. They we're judgmental, borderline racist, and the program director did not give a damn about anything but THEIR program and how it made them look. I was overwhelmed with tons of cases every month, reprimanded for not having this done in a timely manor, but how could I when I didn't even have time to breath. We were not allowed to work over time, and it the program operated in a bad way. The program director could care less if you we're sick, dying, or on the verge of a break down, if you work was not done THEY DID NOT CARE. The department director was no better, never listening to the case workers and saw us as replaceable any moment. The turnover rate was ridiculous and the favoritism was blatantly shown every day. It was truly the worst department to work in and the WORST job I have ever held.
