Pros

- Nice office and amenities - Good stepping stone for other opportunities if you can stick it out

Cons

- Toxic workplace environtment with intimidation culture, bullying and obvious gender bias. Senior management and their 2IC's are clearly protected as their bad behaviour is swept under the carpet. - No work life balance, difficult to make plans after work as you never know when you will be able to finish work. - No flexibility with working from home which was really shown during the pandemic where you were still expected to come into the office despite the city having multiple COVID expososure sites. - Not a personable experience, you are just another number working for a big machine. - High staff turnover. - Processes are not documented and there are no real IT systems in place (most work done in excel, word & powerpoint).

Pros

I worked out of the Toronto office - You get to work with a smart and hardworking team - If you really put in the work, you can climb the corporate ladder very quickly - The target bonus is higher than most companies - You get fed, lunch is provided and during the busy periods, dinner as well.

Cons

- This is not a workplace for you if you have other commitments in your life, whether it is kids, a significant other, friends, or after-work activities. You will be working 13+ hour days Mon-Thu for about six months out of the year. Everyone on my floor seemed to be young with no kids, which is why this culture works. - There is no flexibility, you are expected to work from the office 100% of the time. If you aren’t there, you basically aren’t working at all! - You are required to dress formally everyday, and on Fridays, men are allowed to take their tie off - For some teams, it is not the norm to take breaks. My manager never left their desk, they brought lunch back to their desk, never took a single break, and worked past midnight everyday - Socials were always held at a bar for drinks, and never really anything else

Pros

- Good Christmas parties - Pay rate is slightly above the market

Cons

- Management is very strict and prefers micro managing - Working hours are at least 10 hours a day and they do not encourage any flexibility - Project managers are very demanding and are rude most of the time. - Leadership takes advantage of their power and at times they bully their staff. If you complain to HR than they do nothing about it. - Employees have to get use to lots of work pressure to survive
