Pros

Company is owned by ITW which offers great employee benefits.

Cons

High level management is extremely detached. Managers of several groups within the company don't have sufficient acumen to tackle important problems arising , and are at many times very disoriented. The engineering side is understaffed for the rate of product development expected from higher management. Overall Brooks might be stable because of old legacy products. But new product development is struggling with no results guaranteed for on-time product delivery. End result is customers are constantly frustrated.

Pros

Great benefits structure through parent company, annual reviews, standard raise at cost of living level.

Cons

Half of the business is driven by the semiconductor industry . This mean revenues and profits go up and down in very strong cycles. Whenever its down the company trims costs through layoffs.

Pros

Friendly co-workers. Clean environment. Free coffee.

Cons

Predatory hiring practices, focusing on immigrant workers. Hired to take jobs at low and varying pay rates for the same job. Upper management has shared that the company has had record profits in the first two quarters of the year. And, yet has implemented mini layoffs in it's most profitable clean room unit . From 5 continuous days to just every Friday of a month. Because, "the sales orders have slowed down". Instead of using these days to properly train and cross train employees. The usual corporate mentality of maximizing profits. Rather than, showing INTEGRITY and RESPECT. by investing in their employees .
