Really low salary to start and not much room for growth

Pros

As a new grad I am looking to get some experience at a high quality institution.

Cons

The starting salary is just barely at subsistence level. The salary bump is only 1% per year. At $26.50 to start that is about a quarter an hour more for a year's worth of experience. I am not sure how they come up with an average salary in the $80K range with that kind of growth.

Great benefits and good ability to move to various departments - a company you definitely want to "get your foot into their door", Lots of supportive and friendly coworkers

Parking, Difficult to grow in small departments
