Pros

Eight straight hours, no waiting around for a lunch break to be over. Early hours, 6am-2am.

Cons

Punitive work place, no recognition, worked rings around other employees, but received same compensation. Micro-managed from the corporate office, no allowances for individual situations among stores, departments, or employees.

Pros

Great pay for an entry level position. Very friendly coworkers, including leadership (3rd shift at least). I haven't worked here long so I don't really know what kind of timeline people advance, but it seems that they prefer to hire internally. If you can work and also work on a degree it seems advancement to management is possible long term. No real "heavy lifting." Maintenance does ice and that can be tiring after a while with the 20 lbs. bags, but nothing else is physically demanding. I like that most things are monotonous enough that I don't have to think about what I'm doing (i.e. sweeping). It lets me think about my side projects a lot. If you are a hard worker this job is not hard. If you are lazy you will have a terrible experience. If you're trying to learn Spanish, you will get practice. If not, you will get good at pointing at empty stalls and hoping that was the question. some funny pros: you get to be every 18 wheeler driver's and RV enthusiast's nightmare I can no longer smell poop I am absolutely disgusted by all other gas stations

Cons

If you have tattoos, you have to cover them. I feel bad for some of my coworkers who have to wear long sleeves outside. No phones or Tabaco use on store property. If you are an addict to either, this job might not be for you. They can and have fired people on the spot. They also have cameras EVERYWHERE, so don't sign up thinking you will be able to get away with it. You get one standing 7ish minute break per shift to eat. The first week I was so busy and overwhelmed I didn't have time to take it. Must be able to stand for all 8(+) hours. Everyone I know has had major feet pain for the first few days. Must be able to be active for all 8 hours. There is very little "looking busy" time because there is so much you have to do per shift. For me, I stay an average of ~20ish minutes after my shift every day, sometimes more and rarely on time. When I have to stay more it is often because of other peoples slack. Not cool. If you are full time you will work a rotating shift. This means you will always have 2 days off sometime between Fridays every week (if no overtime). However, these will change every week at the whims of management, so you might have 4 days in a row off, but you also might have 10 days in a row on. Multiple times I have knocked on RV's doors and have been greeted by an old man in tighty whities.
