Pros

Fun to work with kids and make memories with families, very easy

Cons

My pay was equivalent to the local minimum wage. My manager gaslighted me the entire time I worked there. She avoided showing me how to do anything because she made up her mind she didn’t want me to become a manager. She never trained me as an assistant manager but constantly told me when I’m doing something wrong. Half of the time it wasn’t wrong she was just a control freak. She was jealous that I was doing better than her and never congratulated me on my successes or efforts which is literally part of the job. My manager did so many things not allowed by company standards and never corrected the employees. She blamed me if they showed up in improper uniform and I didn’t say anything (they had been there for years and were doing that before I started and she never sent them home because they were always understaffed). So many people didn’t even do the “bear minimum” and worked at my job for years…and she let them stay… I was also made to believe I would easily be promoted in a few months and I wasn’t so I left

Pros

Making connections with guests always made my day. Having amazing coworkers who I loved to see everyday helped make my time with the company very enjoyable.

Cons

My store manager has horrible management skills. She is very lacking in communication and when I brought this to her attention, she acted as if it was my fault. After bringing these issues to my DMs attention, I was compared to the boy who cried wolf and essentially told to just get over it that "sometimes we do things we don't like". My manager bullied me as well as most of the other people on our team. She also told my successor that she wanted them to take my position in their interview. They were applying for an associate and I had no plans of leaving at that time. There is a huge lack of training as well. You must train yourself in about 80% of your job but only management have full access to the training areas.
