I could only work up to 20 hours/week in my position, so I wasn't able to work all that I wanted. Another con - but this was probably expected for an entry-level sales associate - was that I only got minimum wage. For an hourly employee (and a seasonal worker, to boot), that was probably expected.

There is literally no room for growth at all. If you work for 5 years with the company they will keep promising you a promotion and then change their mind even when you reach your goal. The company was amazing when I first started but once the ceo "retired" I feel like the merchandise got cheaper and cheaper. Associate discount is 30% but if you aren't a bear hoarder than you run out of things to buy. Also if there is someone on the team who is a bully to everyone but is good at her job they will overlook the bad behavior. Even if she curses and is disrespectful to a manager. The customers are amazing sometimes but most of the time they are whining and causing scenes more than their children. Also if they make any stink at alletzuah they get money off their purchase. This lady said she had a 50% off coupon which is an obvious lie because BABW never gives you 50$ off a 70$ purchase and she threw a tantrum and got it. When you are a manager you have to do 5 thousand more things that a bear builder but you get paid a dollar and fifty cents more. If you do get promoted from associate manager to assistant manager you get another dollar. If you get promoted again to chief or store manager you get another dollar. It's ridiculous how much the company really doesn't care about if their employees can put food on the table. I am the happiest person in the world since I resigned. Now so stress free and I get paid 16 dollars an hour doing ten times less at BABW. :)
