Pros

Bullhorn is a company where exceptionally talented individuals excel, thrive and enjoy sharing ideas. The company lives up to its mission of “Create an Incredible Customer Experience” in the way that both internal (cross-departmental) and external clients are treated. Employees are positive, upbeat and enthusiastic about their jobs and are consistently encouraged and challenged to grow within their roles. I truly enjoy coming to work every day—the culture is great and people are fun to work with!

Pros

Amazing co-workers. This is a great place to get started if you lack real-world technical experience.

Cons

The pay is below-market. Inter-departmental communication is lacking. The sales and third-party implementation teams don't have a clear understanding of product functionality, leading to dissatisfied customers and unnecessary technical support interactions.

One of the "pros" we often get is the ability every employee at Bullhorn has to make an impact. As a Technical Support Analyst, you're getting first-hand feedback from our customers- share it! If you're encountering problems that are due to implementation or sales errors, escalate it and help us figure out how to fix these. Take your own steps toward improving communication internally. We all have the power to improve our customer (and our employee) experience.

Some Good, Some Bad

Pros

The coworkers here were among the best I have ever had. They genuinely care about each other and it feels more like a friend/family environment. The company also promotes being healthy at any given opportunity. The health benefits are great for the options available.

Cons

In support specifically, the company has slowly been shifting toward the call center mindset. This is counter intuitive to the work necessary to assist clients best. Through this gradual move, more and more employees are needed to help a single client and this causes more unnecessary stress to the employees as there never seems to be enough time to complete all the necessary work. Also, the cross-department communication has become more difficult as processes have been put in place. Lastly, employees are judged by the work based on the core values, but this is hypocritical as management frequently does the opposite of these core values.

We used to be a mainly phone-only organization; now we do chat, phone, tickets and more. With these new channels, it's important to have measurement systems and KPIs so we know how we're doing. This isn't about becoming a call center, this is about evolving with our clients and ensuring we deliver an incredible customer experience. Our core values drive every part of our business, which is why every employee is reviewed and rated for each core value every quarter. We take this seriously: if you encounter someone acting counter to a core value, let your manager or HR know.
