Pros

Great place to be a part of a functional machine that ships high quality products while keeping one challenged and learning new things. It was fostering place to work for a long time with extremely smart and talented people running the ship. There are some really amazingly good people there.

Cons

Eventually, there seemed to be as many leaders as there were meetings. The professional ladder that leadership wanted employees to climb was to hit an inevitable ceiling. They pushed people to focus climbing the corporate ladder of roles over focusing on the current role/responsibility. Many people, fostering a social network ("climb the ladder") over doing work, leaving a larger workload for others to complete. Many people refuse to give credit to where credit is due. Competition is so fierce that some in that environment would rather take credit for the things they did not do as opposed to give credit to where the credit is due. Just like any place, be sure to know who to avoid and who to chum up to. If you're a quiet one, be ready to do work and get minimal recognition.
