The long term employees are stuck because they can't go anywhere else due to the non-compete agreement. Team work is non-existent and it is not pushed or even suggested. Management is of old school using threats to increase performance from the sales force as well as suppliers. Purchasing is under so much pressure to work lean that the sales force is constantly losing sales due to inventory shortages. Bunzl is not thought of well by their customers. They are a necessary evil and are only successful by creating the Bunzl trap. That goes for customers and suppliers. Once you get into bed with Bunzl, it is almost impossible to get out.

A lot of people have been there 10, 20, 30 years. Used to think that was a good thing until it became apparent they're there because they can't go anywhere else. Pay is nothing to brag about.
