Pros

With all honesty their was not much of a benefit I received from this position besides gaining experience in the staffing industry and learning about recruiting. In addition, Tim was great he trained me well was a great mentor.

Cons

I decided to depart from BCS due to a variety of reasons, their lack of resources, they only utilized two during my time with them. Lack of IT jobs, the majority of their reqs are lower end engineering positions. Lack of jobs in general, the total amount of jobs they have when I left were 14. The lack of communication from sales to recruiting, often times once the account manager received feedback regarding a candidate or the position itself, they would not update the recruiting team until a recruiter asked. Lack of a training program in IT and engineering. The commission structure was lame, it was capped at 6% for recruiters. In addition, the lack of a team environment, I was the only recruiter in Dallas, the other two recruiters were in the Charlotte office. The Managing Director Dianne was not the nicest either, the week I left she yelled at a colleague of mine. Prior to that, she criticized a former colleague of mine directly of her dating, hair, clothes etc. The turnover ratio is high!

Abigail, I regret you did not have the positive experience with BCS you said you had when we lunched together just one day prior to your resigning. In fact, during our lunch you expressed how you were delighted with our decision to promote you from staffing coordinator to recruiter trainee in less than three months. We talked about your BCS goals for 2019, and you genuinely seemed excited about your opportunity to grow as a recruiter. As I trust we convey at BCS, cultivating a positive culture and working environment is our greatest priority; inclusive of flexible work schedules, gym memberships, free snacks and bringing your pet to work. I genuinely don’t understand several of your comments: Commissions are not capped (where did you get 6%), we are 70% IT vs. Engineering (for over 25 of our 30 years we were 90% IT), and you were aware that we were in process of reevaluating/implementing new tools for 2019. While I can’t imagine criticizing anyone’s dating or hair, we do offer a clothing allowance to entry-level professionals joining our team. If offering these team members an allowance for professional attire seems negative or offensive, I sincerely apologize; our only intent is to assist new hires who may not yet be able to invest in professional attire. Additionally, if I ever "yelled" at anyone, I must have been sleep-walking, as it's not in my nature to yell. In fact, everyone who works at BCS knows our culture is to treat everyone with dignity and respect, which means we don’t yell, scream or cuss at each other. It’s just not something we tolerate. By the way, since you’ve only been in the staffing industry for 6 months, and I’ve been in it “forever”, let me confidently say that BCS’ recruiters and sales teams work very effectively together, and do it better than at most companies. They genuinely like, respect, and support each other; and want all to win!” All in all, Abby, I’m very glad you enjoyed Tim’s coaching and mentoring (I’m mentoring him). As I shared before you left, you are smart and have a lot of potential; and I wish you well in your next career move. As always, my door is open! If you'd like to share more about your comments or experience here, please let me know; I’d be happy to chat with you! Dianne Ferguson

Pros

When you see a vision for your future and it aligns with your organizations vision, that's a perfect match. I truly see great things in BCS' future and see myself here for the long haul.

Cons

Little to no bonuses offered. However, I understand the nature of our business and how bonuses are a luxury which can be compromised.
