Cons

Where do I start? I was at Businessolver for 2 1/2 years. When I first started I loved it. I actually enjoyed coming to work. After two years, several different VPs, supervisors, and all these new policy changes it made me hate the place. Don't get me wrong everyone else loves Businessolver BESIDES the people that work in participant services. People in PS hate that place because they are basically chained to their desks and are overly micromanaged. It was not like that before. While I worked at Businessolver I had several different positions. Recently I was basically demoted and moved back to my first position that I had because they didn't want to hire anyone else for that mindless job. I wouldn't have been so upset when they did that but it is how they told me. I was literally told "we need you to fill a void" , then proceeded to ask what my thoughts were? How can I tell you my thoughts on a decision you already made and I have no control over???? Oh and another thing if you are a young adult like me do not start at Businessolver because there is no career path there. I told my supervisor several times I wanted to move up to client services but he basically said if I applied for a higher role he wouldn't be a good reference for me. So if you're not sleeping with a VP or you weren't in the same sorority as someone good luck moving out of PS because if they don't want you to go they will not let you. People say only angry people are on here but these reviews are true. So if you still want to work at Businessolver after these reviews...that's on you. We warned you.

Pros

Always trying to improve. The technology is great, as well are the employees.

Cons

HR doesn't understand what people actually do at businessolver, despite many conversations with direct team members. This makes it extremely difficult to accomplish change, regardless of how much they want to help.

Pros

The onboarding and new hire orientation has been fantastic. We've had a chance to interact with the executive team and learn about all the functional areas of the business before we begin to focus on our defined jobs. This is the smallest company I've worked for. It was pretty cool that the CEO spent time with us in our first week on the job. He seems very approachable and has a ton of energy. One thing that was said that I thought was kind of cool was that they didn't hire us for our Businessolver experience, they hired us for the experience we've gained in previous roles. I guess it makes sense, but appreciate the comment. There were two people in our class that had come back to Businessolver after leaving, which I found interesting. One of the people that came back said "sometimes the grass isn't always greener on the other side". He seemed really happy to be back and has been good for our new hire class. I've been assigned to three new clients in a technical support role. They seem happy with the system and the overall service. Based on what you read on previous posts, I was a bit nervous. All in all, I'm glad I joined the company. I'm about 4 months into the job. It's off to a good start and I'm looking forward to growing my career within the company.

Cons

Haven't really come across any yet. There is a lot of construction going on, but assume that will pass and we will have a nicer looking office. Was a bit bummed out when I heard a few people mention Glassdoor. I hadn't read the posts before I started. Doesn't seem accurate to what I've experienced thus far.
