Pros

They’ll hire anyone. They don’t have human standards and will put your physical and mental health to the ringer.

Cons

No work/life balance at all. Breaks and end of shifts are not consistent on when you go or leave. If the operation is not done then you’re not done. You could be told 30 min break is 10:30 but you begin break at 10:45 now all you have left is 15 mins. You could be told your shift ends at 4:30 but it could be over at 5. Or worse, 6:30. Managers and trainers are very punctual of you on that stuff. This is a super intensive labor. Your body will be in constant pain for 8-10 hours and continues on to the next shift. They provide a nurse but the help you need is only temporarily until you’re put back into the line. We’re talking 5-6 days of this stuff. Overtime are mandatory here. It’s a poultry plant so the facility is going to be cold, wet, dirty, and smell.
