Certain team leads create a hostile and demoralizing work environment, often targeting individuals instead of providing constructive feedback. There is a noticeable display of male chauvinism, coupled with constant micromanagement and criticism before the full context is understood, which discourages open communication. Employees are often isolated from team collaboration and even discouraged from speaking with colleagues, making it difficult to maintain a healthy work dynamic. The lack of psychological safety leaves many feeling anxious, constantly monitored, and hesitant to voice concerns. There is minimal support for mental well-being, and at times, employees are even questioned for basic needs such as taking a washroom break. Moreover, certain team leads expect staff to sacrifice their personal lives without hesitation, creating an unhealthy and unsustainable work culture.
