Culture of control over accountability

Pros

Unfortunately, the negative aspects of the organizational culture and leadership practices significantly outweighed any positive elements of the experience.

Cons

I rarely write reviews, but I believe transparency helps others make informed decisions. In my experience, leadership focused more on maintaining control and protecting image than on addressing real operational or cultural issues. When employees set professional boundaries or raise legitimate concerns, the response was often to manage the narrative rather than resolve the problem. Problems were frequently ignored or redirected toward the individual who had the courage to speak up. At times, this created an environment that felt retaliatory rather than constructive. Commitments made by leadership were not consistently followed through, which gradually eroded trust and morale. While communication often sounded positive on the surface, actions did not always align with stated values. Over time, this pattern of decision-making appeared to extend beyond internal culture and into business outcomes. A lack of integrity and accountability at the management level contributed to strained client relationships and, in certain cases, the loss of key contracts. These situations did not only impact employees. They also affected the company’s external credibility and long-term reputation in the market. An organization’s integrity is ultimately reflected in how it handles uncomfortable truths. Here, accountability appeared secondary to optics, and ethical consistency was not always evident. Professionals who value transparency, principled leadership, and psychological safety may find this environment challenging.

Pros

Pay decent for job responsibilities

Cons

Do you enjoy finding ways to cheat the government? Reallocate hours and expenses to projects underbudget without regard to where the hours or expenses genuinely belong? What happens if DOGE audits them? There is NO oversight on what individual employees do. If they trust you, they won't notice if you were doing your job properly until after you leave. Nothing will be done to the supervisors. Managers promoted on butt kissing ability without regard to technical knowledge and certainly not management skills. (Hence, supervisors who do all the work for their team until they retire and heck breaks loose but no consequences for the next-level managers. Passwords like "fartrocket123" written on sticky notes in the open for all to see. (Don't worry. Passwords have to be reset every 3 months, so that one shouldn't still be in use.) Not at all a culture or organization to be proud of. I didn't realize how truly awful CACI was until I left. Definitely regret staying as long as I did.

Pros

Working from home, Flex schedule, pay and benefits are good

Cons

Work not always consistent you are either buried in work or not getting any. the pressure to perform and meet metrics and production is ridiculous. You are a machine working for the company. Pump out those numbers. Constant oversight and hounding. Have to log every minute of work per day and ridiculous expectation of turnaround on work assigned. Management has no idea about reality of having to contact people and work with their schedules. The work is pretty tedious. Used to be fun when it was in person now everything by phone and zoom but you have to put down why you did the interview by phone or zoom. Duh because that's what you want so we can pump out more work.
