Pros

- A lot of creative freedom during work days isn't common in entry jobs like this, but here it is - Great group of coworkers not only with Cady, but outside for photoshoots, modeling, and other creative aspects - It can be very fun at times - Mileage reimbursement for traveling (subject to shift type), though its the minimum reimbursement required by GA law - Small studio events that food is provided

Cons

- Came into the company based off a 20 minute interview that was 1) pushed back via the interviewer and 2) had very little detail about the job. Nothing was said about driving upwards of 170 miles round trip per day on occasions nor the expectations of the quality of the job - Lackluster training. Was given a 3 day period to just shadow and not shoot. Over the course of time it seems like the company's training got better, but still lots of untrained people for high dollar clients - Culture is only good if you find a clique. Management almost secludes you to staying with the photographers. - Management can act like they don't care about problems or don't have the time to deal with them. - Corporate doesn't really show appreciation of hard, dedicated work except for a monthly photo of the month program. Loyalty doesn't really matter to them. - SUPER, super slow season and 0 -1 shifts per week for a while during this season - Black out UPTO/PTO dates - No real opportunity to move up until a manager get promoted or leaves

Pros

Most of the floor staff (CERs, presenters, photographers) are great and really do care despite being discriminated against because of their age.

Cons

Where to start... Poor, poor communication among management. There's almost no consistency in workflows or processes. "It's your studio! You run it however" and very little training given. "What do you need to know/learn?" Well, it's my second day, so everything? The business is sneaky and uses misleading marketing tactics to manipulate unsuspecting parents who are overwhelmed with the senior photography process in general. As the manager, you're charged with overseeing use of manipulative and fake sales to raise KPIs, even in a pandemic. Constant pressure to get unreasonable sales figures and a pressure to push cheap products that parents don't even want. There's no respect or kindness to floor staff from upper management, but they constantly push "our people are our most valuable asset" while paying just above minimum wage to work rocky, inconsistent hours. The environment grooms loyalty with no transparency. There are cliques among upper management. Constant pressure from upper management to push staff to get Google reviews at any cost, pandering to clients. The company is money-centric and care absolutely nothing about staff. Turnover rate is incredible.
