Pros

Photography is cool and I liked my co-workers but that's it.

Cons

Leaders and middle managers follow the leader like a cult because they are constantly scared of losing their job to a CEO who is clearly over his head. BEWARE: The marketing portrays a company culture that looks great but it could not be further from the truth. Overworked and under-appreciated employees is the name of the game here. There is always a new shining star that the leaders gloat over until they find a new one and discard the old one like a rag doll. Middle-management tries but they always succumb to a "silver-tongued" CEO and his outlandish expectations that cannot be achieved. It's a revolving door for employees and management seats are filled with B players because the CEO is too cheap to pay for A players.

Pros

Exciting working with young people, presents unique challenges Wide Variety of clientele and coworkers Traveling for work means change of scenery is easy Photography every day, a chance to hone a craft Equipment provided by studio, chance to work with a variety of tools and avoid damaging your own. Fun Co-workers, your fellow photographers are in the trenches with you, and generally a strong connection with them. No Photography experience required! Gives the ability to also teach your coworkers.

Cons

Regardless of experience, pay caps out at $13.75, even as a manager. While in training, responsibility is low, though quickly the pay becomes too little for the amount of responsibility. Driving your own car, while gas mileage is paid for ($0.44 per mile, pretty good!) nothing is paid for wear and tear on your vehicle. While Corporate employees may even have their tires paid for, Photographers cannot, a vast majority of your car's miles will be from this job. Largely seasonal, can be nice, but be aware your hours are not guaranteed. Lead Photographer as a position comes with added responsibility, but no raise. Non-compete clauses prevent you from adding any photos taken to your portfolio, as well as from pursuing work outside of the company for a minimum of 2 years after employment ends. No commission, photographers are not given any compensation regardless of how many of their photos are used. No photography experience required! Also a con, regardless of experience, you will be as disposable as the next photographer, not terrible, just a thing to remember.

Pros

They are lucky in that they have some really great people that have had the patience to stay around, particularly their marketing team (probably due to the company's focus there).

Cons

The CEO/CFO are most focused on swanky marketing, sales initiatives, and weird/ frequent MLM like conferences that they hope will increase employee buy in. There is a general disagreement between the sleek design of their website and marketing materials, their reviews on this website, as contrasted with their customer reviews on the other parts of the web. This isn't a coincidence. Staff shortages are common due to high turnover. The corporate office has loud music going at all work hours, which might work for some, but many around the office would complain from time to time. The pay in general is poor as compared with the other market for similar positions.
