Pros
- Great opportunity to build hours - Salary position as CFI to build time - Opportunity to serve country in a "military cadre" position instructing USAF officers basic fundamentals of flight - Great benefits through CAE / 401k / maternal and paternal break (18 weeks 100% paid)
Cons
- Pay isn't competitive with increasing airline incentives, thus losing lots of great employees to airlines. - Can become very repetitive over time - Losing employees to airlines results in stress of flight rooms to maintain expectations of Air Force output. Positions in command that are usually "applied for" are becoming "volun-told" to ensure coverage
