Beautiful location, nice people, but overworked and underpaid

Pros

"Learn by doing" model carried throughout all aspects of university. Close to the ocean and wine country, campus is beautiful and technology is advanced. Students are very driven. Staff hired are best of the best (despite being paid little). Nestled between San Francisco and L.A. in a very temperate climate.

Cons

Staff across campus is overworked and underpaid, very few perks ($40 per month for gym membership). Frequent turnover. Very little financial support for personal professional development.

Extremely friendly, very flexible, and will have you work more or less depending on what YOU want

Cons

A few other employees didn't understand the meaning of washing their hands upon clocking in, and in between certain tasks such as cleaning and then handling food.

Ability to work with great students Always busy with new projects Beautiful area

Cons

CYA to the max. Everything is always a hastle. Was not allowed to talk with other campus officials without gaining approval. Even though I am a professional Staff member. Most Admin do not care about students. Rather see them as individuals who if a student/parent comes to them, we are to move heaven & earth for them and neglect everyone else. Micro managed to every detail. Office Hours started at 10 am, and would be getting calls at 10 am asking on updates on situations from the night before that you knew nothing about yet.
