Pros

Good pay for management. Good stepping stone position to gain leadership experience for higher roles. Good CSU benefits. Good students and staff.

Cons

Administration is out of touch and practically useless. It is difficult to get raises. There is favoritism and politics like anywhere else. There are many unqualified managers in roles that they should not be in. Within the last two years, most department operations have become stagnant due to massive turnover. The campus is antiquated and stuck in the past.

Pros

Students are a joy to work with. Loved offering administrative support to students, staff, and faculty. Great boss. Benefits are great.

Cons

Administration treated staff terribly during Covid. No vacation after working over a year there. Faculty always fighting. Pay is very low. Staff don’t become permanent until after five years. The union isn’t supportive to employees. Lack of support.
