Steady job, full benefits, many people get by without doing any work (oh is that a con?)

Cons

fringe benefits mean low pay, and a lot of incompetent leadership whose only competence was having the time and money to get a PhD.

The faculty, staff and students are great people. A real joy to be around. There's ample reasonable parking. Benefits are great if you can get them. There's a 4-year temp. employee status placed on most new employees.

Cons

The salary is lower than other CSU campuses. Perhaps because it also has a lower number of students?

Good faculty, students, and campus community. There is a lot of diversity at Cal State LA! The work is consistent and not that difficult.

Cons

The pay is very low. The administration is disconnected from reality. There has been a lot of turnover. There is also no remote work opportunities. The campus looks very old and dated.
