Great people, not a fan of upper management
Pros
- Nice people to work with - The office felt like a family (not in a toxic way) - Breakfast/lunch catering 2-3 times a month and office snacks during busy season - Great location (near Link 2 and bus stops/transit center, close to coffee shops and a few lunch spots) - Decent benefits - Positive atmosphere - I really liked my team!
Cons
- Upper management (HQ) felt very disconnected from the individual offices - Constantly growing/acquiring firms but also layoffs happen somewhat often (are you making money or are you not?) - There could have been more benefits to working in office, even snacks weren't year-round - Not a ton of visible opportunity for growth outside of being an executive assistant - Job itself was pretty boring (which I didn't necessarily mind) since more people prefer to work from home and clients tend to do video meetings now, but because I needed to be stationed at the front desk, I wasn't able to do things around the office (including use the restroom) as much without missing a phone call or leaving a client waiting, unless I interrupted someone on the team to cover the front desk.
