Pros

On the staffing side, especially in Pittsburgh you will have a disproportionately LOWER change of succeeding because the staffing arm of CEI is drastically pathetic in Pittsburgh. I worked there for a few years and there is favoritism on WHO (sales people) gets the higher performing accounts. Then, recruiters and sales people who do not get these accounts are left to just willy nilly with LITTLE training, call on Fortune 500 to get/find recruiting needs. Those 1's and 2's deals are NOT going to bring you more than (if you're lucky) $200 a month in commission and i'm being generous

Cons

* Management has favorites. The CEO ran for senate the ENTIRE place is a favoritism, fake laughter, fake political environment. Fox news is playing ALL the time in the break room and the CEO has NO care, nor do the upper management on how you feel working there. * WEEKEND EVENTS (required) - If you do not attend a happy hour AFTER work, a WEEKEND christmas party or any other event you are shunned. I literally had a wedding and when missing the christmas party i was glared at an entire Monday by my manager. Children run this company, petty boomers with no work life balance and take it out on you. Any explanation below will be a CYA excuse and something (just like how they are run) politically correct. * Miserable turnover - Self explanatory * New ideas not welcome - When fighting for what you believe in if you do not fit the mold, you are greeted with condescending responses, assuming you are too stupid to "understand" therefore your response is invalid * No work life balance - you MUST stay until 5pm on the DOT. They would literally rather people SIT there...doing 0 work until 5pm. I literally witnessed people sitting shopping online killing time from 4:30-5pm god forbid you want a flexible schedule do not work here. Hello....be honest with yourselves, making people miserable and forcing them to SIT in a desk until exactly 5pm will NOT get you productivity and will crush a sense of self worth being there....you are delusional if you think this old school tactic still works. > Just an FYI none of this review is meant to contain aggressive or defamation interpreted language, it's my opinion and solely based in years working here. Nothing shared in this review divulges/reveals confidential lists like including but not limited to source code, customer lists, manufacturing techniques, R&D activities, budgets, detailed financial results and technical know-how .. I have to include this unfortunately because their CFO is a real trip.

Pros

There are truly no pros about this organization, either as an employee or as a client. The management is incompetent, dishonest and toxic. I have never been around a such a horrible environment in my career.

Cons

They lack to resources to be able to grow their client base or to help their clients grow. The management/ownership focuses on one thing and one thing only, cost management. This would seem fine, however they do not put their employees first, nor do they put their clients first. They will mislead or deceive either to make or save a dollar. There is a reason this organization can not keep talent and that reason lies solely with their ownership. There is zero trust, everyone is treated as if they are inexperienced children and beaten down emotionally on a daily basis. There is no winning with this organization or its management. Success is not measured in achievement or success, it is measured in fear and intimidation and how much of each they can instill in their employees. The CEO makes large promises and commitments to new employees, but doesn't honor them. He choses to hire and fire at will without reason or cause. It's a trend that most are aware of and it doesn't take a lot of research to see just how little he is respected.

Pros

Company sponsored happy hours, that was about it. Working from home was a plus in the beginning but quickly became a negative with the lack of support from management.

Cons

There is very little support for people who have not worked in the industry before. When I asked for help, I was treated as I was being annoying by asking questions. Sales and recruiting do not work out of one system. They work out of two and you have to track things multiple times in multiple locations. This made the work very tedious. Once they opened up an office in downtown Denver, I was expected to pay for parking $200+/month.
