Pros
1) The education department is outstanding. 2) Benefits are far superior to Ardent Health / UT.
Cons
1) Favoritism. One ex-coworker routinely had multiple open rooms each shift while other nurses went several shifts without an open room. 2) I was routinely asked to perform skills during my orientation period that I had not been checked off on at Christus…but then had four check-offs with the manager on AIDET and two check-offs on how to wash my hands. 3) Inappropriate workplace conversations regularly occur at the nurse’s station. 4) Some nurses watch Netflix or play games on their phones with no consequences while others are reprimanded if caught texting their spouse/children. 5) A coworker had her time card edited and two overtime shifts she worked disappeared from her time card. The manager blamed a “computer error.”
