Pros

Pay is higher than most customer service call centers.

Cons

It is something different on a daily basis. It’s frustrating to talk to members or doctor offices apologizing every other sentence for an incorrect website, error in payments, or claims processing. There have always been issues but management seems to care less and less now. Nothing is being done. Improperly trained new hires which has resulted in high turnover.

Pros

Enjoyed coworkers, certain people with administration. 403b benefits are good. Insurance isn’t horrible.

Cons

Policies are somewhat followed, the ones they want to enforce. Pay is low compared to other companies. Short staffed often. My reason for leaving the company was a new, and what seemed like an unsteady administration. Reducing the night differential to make it “fair” throughout Christus meant lowering the rate across the board instead of increasing to what the highest differential was. Why not satisfy your associates instead of make them mad? The last straw was that they were no longer paying out PTO that you had earned. It was use it or lose it. After putting my resignation in prior to that policy change, my leaving date was after the status change, therefore they did not pay me out the PTO I had earned. I will never understand how a company can be so concerned about patient satisfaction and not understand in order to do so your associates who make those patients satisfied, need to be happy. Happy associates make happy patients.
