      IT department is a great place to work. Health benefits, raises and bonuses are lacking.

      Pros

      If you are on the right team the IT department is a great place to work. There are tons of opportunity to grow and take on responsibility if you are driven.

      Cons

      Health benefits are lacking. Even if you go to a CHRISTUS facility you will have to pay too much out of pocket. By far the worst health benefits I have ever experienced as an employee. Annual increases are below inflation rate. You will lose money every year unless you get a promotion. Promotion is really the only method of gaining a significant pay raise. Bonuses are nearly nothing. However, you do get a small increase and small bonus every year even if they are tiny.

      Company makes appearance at attempting to care for employees. Pay and benefits are average.

      Cons

      Hard work is not rewarded in a meaningful way. Company moves slowly to implement changes. Bad managers are given too many chances resulting in loss of talented people. Many teams are understaffed and overworked with no clear direction / voice on major projects. Performance reviews are a Joke.
