Pros

Epic system, generally the nicer systems and equipment.

Cons

Slap in the face raises (if you get one), management doesn’t care about patients or their nurses. They care about saving face and their favorites. They do not stand for what’s right, only what’s easy. There’s double standards. They spend more money on bouquets and liquor for donor parties than the staff. They’re willing to block off EVERY handicapped parking at an ER for those parties.

Pros

Well, I was grandfathered in prior to the reduction in PTO for new hires. It's a pro for me, but not for them. The Corporate office is nice, and they have a great coffee shop and cafe with cheap food. I like the work life balance and my coworkers.

Cons

Why did Christus spend multi millions on a building instead of allowing 600 plus employees to work at home and get a raise in pay? They say it's because of culture and against their mission. Give me a break!

Pros

Health insurance is great and affordable, front loaded PTO, and my manager was great at her job and treated us well

Cons

High pressure, increasing work load without salary compensation, corporate acted like they cared but never did anything worth while. Gave off the feeling that they moved more work on to us then high fived each other for doing such a great job. They never take glint surveys seriously because they only grade your direct supervisor and nothing about upper management. They continually add more work on to already over burdened departments with the comment that if you can’t handle it, we can always outsource your work (and your job). Upper management pushes a quantity over quality dynamic with phone calls while you have to smile why being abused by a patient over the phone that doesn’t understand why they have to pay for services they received. Front loaded PTO that you’re penalized for using. You get in trouble for taking a sick day and point count against you. HR is useless. They tell you to speak to your manager about any problems. I really don’t know what they even do there. I couldn’t get ahold of them until I called corporate HR and suddenly they were all willing to help only after sending me an email with a copy of the policy and nothing else, after I was on the verge of getting fired due to my health making me take excessive sick days. They are useless, disconnected, and do not care about you.
