Pros

Looks good on resume Good information sharing and learning encouraged Potentially interesting in right departments Good communication lines to management Being proactive is encouraged

Cons

Dated technology all around with strict rules about deviating from preapproved list Hardcore bureaucracy in all areas which results in hypocrisy and frustration Slow moving behemoth, unwilling to change even when clearly presented with better solutions that remedy existing problems Too much corporate BS and empty talk, often feels like you're on an episode of "The Office" Aggressive firewall and machine lockdown Clear preference for importing resources from oversees to save money Very adhoc and chaotic at times, poorly designed business processes and unwillingness to alter them, which creates very bad professional habits Information overload - constantly bombarded with irrelevant information for your tasks. Have to create email filters or you'll spend 2/3 of your time reading stuff that doesn't relate to you
