Pros

From initial interviews to completing training, I have never had such a welcoming experience with previous employers. When I first walked into the showroom, I could immediately tell that the sales team enjoyed working here and with each other. Going through the interviewing process, I was paired up with a wonderfully kind hiring recruiter who was there for me the whole way. Once hired, the management team took me under their wings and made sure I had everything I needed to successfully adapt to the new work environment. The management team actually cares about each and every individual that work under them, which to me is refreshing. The rest of the staff has followed the leaderships example of genuine kindness and support as well. I couldn’t be happier with my decision to accept this offer for employment and I know that my future is in good hands with this company.

Cons

I have been employed now for 10 days, and have yet to experience anything worthy of this field. With my previous employment experience in mind, I couldn’t be happier.

Pros

The concept is good. Friendly coworkers and attractive, inexpensive furniture. Nice showroom. Family owned company. Free clinic for employees. Decent benefits. Good place to either start your sales career as a 20 something, or make a little extra if you are approaching retirement and have no family obligations. I would recommend it as a stepping stone to something better.

Cons

Not the place to work if you have kids or a spouse you would like to spend time with. No weekends off ever. 40 hours scheduled but high goals mean you must put in many more hours to stand a chance of achieving. So many salespeople, that some make a little, some make next to nothing. Unrealistic expectation to sell extended warranties, etc which make it difficult to get your very small bonus, which is taxed at 40%. The lowest commission rate around, which they are not up front about, is shameful...yes, it's 4%. They will embellish that with lots of fluff and stuff, but that's the bottom line.

Pros

flexible hours. some weeks you make decent money. no real physical labor, its really the easiest job i have ever had.

Cons

This company is purely sales driven if you cannot sell you don't belong. there are long hours, goals that are unreasonable, only %4 commission, horrible customer service (which causes most of your cancellations) you can come in after 2 days off to a negative paycheck. The hourly is only about $11.50 if you don't exceed your hourly pay with commissions. Upper management and managers DO NOT care about you, you will be treated like cattle. if you do not produce they will get rid of you not work with you. if you are offered a position make sure you get all the details IN WRITING. If your general manager does not like you and you have any hopes of progressing into the management program get real comfortable because you aren't going anywhere.
