Pros
I have been around CITY FURNITURE for about 19 Years, and in between, I have also explored other companies as an opportunity to grow professionally.
To me, the value that resonates in my heart is "Family Spirit"
I have been able to see how through good and not so good economies, CITY FURNITURE has protected employees in their best possible way, offering different opportunities and jobs to be able to guarantee a steady income for each of us, so we can keep roofs over our heads and food on our table.
CITY FURNITURE'S leadership team has been working on Leading by example, innovating, challenging the status quo with high intensity of purpose and thinking outside the box.
What I like about working here is how close our team is, and that means everyone, there are family and friends working in different departments and this helps us stay together because we know we have a big support system in each team member.
The Open door policy our CEO has, giving his personal number to everyone and tackling problems head on is impressive. If he can't find a solution himself he will find the way to get help and resolve any problem that comes our way. The same example goes throughout our leadership team.
As a Family company some times we do not agree on every initiative but this does not mean we do not want to work together to reach our Personal and Company goals.
I have yet to experience any other company with this level of focus on relationships and team work.
Cons
With the current economy, we have seen different associates leave the company to find new opportunities in different fields and less expensive states to afford housing.
Our strong bonds, and connections keep us together so we still reach out to each other for help and support when necessary.
