Cons
Almost obsessive focus on the profitability of assignments creates moral hazard; shallow portfolio analysis, intense pressure to please the customer (banks) and refusal to acknowledge previous internal mistakes. My work was consistently white-washed and often materially changed to accommodate a senior reviewer's expectations for the assignment. Employees are over-worked and under-compensated, with few if any perks. Career advancement is not an option in FIG. The "career-building firm" is the place where ambitious people leave and where retired professionals try to remain relevant. Unfortunately their competitors are just as bad, if not worse (based on the quality of the work), so CLA continues to expand it's portfolio. The overall product is polished, I had issue with the filters placed on Loan Review.
