In the past several years this company has grown tremendously. But NONE of that growth is organic. They have grown by buying out/absorbing competitors. The managers are extremely talented but most of them have very little Energy Efficiency and Demand Response experience.
They are owned by a NYC private equity firm. It is very clear and obvious that the bottom line is the most important thing right now... "let's get this thing in the black so we can sell it and get outta here". The leaders are not champions of energy conservation or SMEs. They have an excellent proposal team that wins contracts all over the country, but then they hire people off the street to do the work. None of these people know what they're doing or have the experience to be successful.
