Pros
Bonuses are good if you are friends with managers, managers give more money to the people they like. Good old Boy system.
Cons
They talk the talk but at the end of the day Management don't do the walk. Management and HR will get together to decide/fabricate a case to get you out if you step out of line. No opportunities for promotion unless you know someone and you are brown nose.
