Pros

Pay scale is comparable to most places with same responsibilities. Shift differential is a plus.

Cons

Management uses buddy system, no margin for advancement for hourly unless your someone’s buddy. Have a habit of refusing time bank and vacation. Attendance points are counted even for emergency situations, just not a great place to work. Also have a habit of looking away or asking people to circumvent safety policy in the name of production.

Lacking industry standards and constant prejudice in the work environment. Unprepared managers, most of them are just looking after themselves.

Pros

Has the feel of a small company. Highly profitable. Annual bonuses. Innovative when it comes to its product. They will work with you to find career opportunities that interest you.

Cons

Old-school mentality when it comes to employees (believes in face-to-face interaction). Slow to adopt remote work. Wishy-washy on rules and regulations. Afraid to ruffle feathers which leads to partial adoption of new procedures when locations push back. You can count on one hand the number of African-Americans in leadership positions. People are nice enough, but there's a "Good ol' Boy" culture that's undeniable and out-of-date in 2022.
