You're verbally abused by loan officers, managers, people in other departments. You're used as the scapegoat for people who don't do their jobs. Managers don't know how to manage and aren't supportive. They only give raises to upper management. They're forcing people back into the office and refused any quality of life raises. They lay off workers who are STILL NEEDED and then offset their work onto remaining employees, but don't allow overtime. I am absolutely certain a loan officer I worked with committed fraud at least once and attempted to commit fraud a second time. I went directly to my manager about it and she ended up brushing it under the rug. This company will do anything to coddle their loan officers. I worked my way up from a "lower" position and the manager in that position is useless. He can never be reached when help is needed from his department, so you have to go above his head to get any results. Everybody at this company is a child, spouse, or relative of an executive (or sleeping with the right people). The nepotism and corruption is unreal, but it will NEVER be addressed because they protect each other. I have been in the mortgage industry for a very long time and I have never been so disgusted by a company and the way they practice. My mental health has deteriorated since working here. I put my heart and soul into my work, so to constantly be degraded, picked apart, judged and dismissed is beyond heart-breaking.
