Pros

The pay was excellent better than industry standards. When seniority was handled properly choice road jobs could be had without any issue.

Cons

The worst management structure ever was in place at the CN if wasn't management driven it wasn't going to fly. The only real issue with working out of Memphis was the terrible Superintendent.

pay, that's about all I can think of

Cons

Management consistently harassing you, never know when you are going to work, they say they safety is the most important thing and the next second they instruct you to violate safety rules in the name of production. If you like getting harassed and watched constantly this job is for you.

Pros

Great people, good benifits, awesome pay, the retirement is outstanding. Very good advancement opportunities if thats what you want. All in alll its a great career.

Cons

The different schedules and hour you work. It's not like any other job. Its a life style. The fact that when they train you to become a great employee, they work harder at trying to fire you over the littlest things.
