Pros

Laid back atmosphere. Flexible work hours (for some positions). Nice salary. Great benefits. Convenient and desirable location. Comfortable offices/cubicles. Fun work environment. Quickly supply required equipment and updated technology.

Cons

Lack of ownership/responsibility; lots of "do just enough not to get fired" mentality. Not much inter-department camaraderie. "Onboarding " is handled by a bunch of different people in a bunch of different departments in a bunch of different areas and it's often difficult to resolve issues or get questions answered in a timely manner.

Such a diverse great company to work for with lots of opportunity for promotions and internal job opportunities. If you are willing to go the extra mile the sky is the limit. With full benifits a company pension while earning an honest salary or wage compliment your career and make the best out of it. I have been working in the industry for about 6 years but I am new to the company as I finished conductor school and picked up a job in engineering as a track maintainer to keep busy , and am applying for a transfer to transportation as I am a conductor at heart. I recommend doing working here if you can stay positive about things you will go far and have a great career.

I get to work with trains which is a dream come true there are no cons. Lol

Income for the job titles require little education basic typing and computer skills. There are no steps to top salary in your job title as Transportation Clerk. On day 1 according to your grade that's the pay you receive

Cons

Inadequare job training, no room for growth. Nepotism. When and if you make a mistake it could cause you to be temporarily suspended without pay.
