Pros

Pay is adequate if you want to work long hours.

Cons

I've never seen so much employee turnover. No one stays longer than 2-3 years. No work/life balance

Pros

Some of the people were nice and easy to work with.

Cons

A lot of the managers are incompetent. The training is not very good. Poor performers don't get fired, which causes performance issues for the department and demoralizes those who are capable and want to excel. The reputation of the company has deteriorated over the years and for good reason. There are better insurance companies out there. Please find another one.

Good pay, bad culture

Pros

Pay and benefits are good

Cons

[underwriting] Very high employee turnover, especially with management. Premium goals are often unrealistic and if you hit them they will get even more unrealistic the next year. If you don't hit your goals, you could be looking to find a new job very quickly. From my experience, too much was expected if you wish to have a work/ life balance and the culture produced management that only cared about new business/ short term results. Internally and in the marketplace CNA is known to change their direction very quickly.he downsides of working at CNA.
