Great location in downtown Chicago (loop). Lots of opportunity for growth and an individual can really make a difference in the actuarial department.

Cons

IT support and infrastructure is a bit lacking.

CNA offered its employees a 37.5 hour week and a great deal of flexibility and independence in coming and going. Some employees worked entirely from home and others did so part of the time. In the event of a commitment at hpme, the company was flexible about allowing the employee to work from home or take time off.

Cons

Advancement sometimes appeared related more to the employee's supervisor's subjective opinion rather than an objective standard. Because employees were spread out all over the U.S., tended to fe isolated and unsupported.
