Pros

Tele-commuting, work-life balance, great opportunities to grow and stretch skills, plenty of interaction with other teams and management

Cons

Currently, CNA is in the last stages of outsourcing to IBM Global Services.

Pros

The location and benefits are OK, but the new leadership and multitude of red tape and outdated processes make it almost impossible to succeed.

Cons

High expectations for employees but no support to achieve. There are so many processes and outmoded technologies that most employees are handicapped at trying to do a good job. The new CEO doesn't seem to have a clue, he's just focused on "winning." It's too bad because there are a lot of good people in the company, but they have no support to succeed.

Pros

This is a decent company, but the work environment can be quite intense at times. IT. The benefits are good and the compensation is pretty much on par with the market rate.

Cons

IT Management has difficulty in making decisions, there is quite a bit of "shifting gears" that goes on which results in unnecessary rework for the staff. If you are interested in an IT career at CNA,, you will need to take a pass here as most of the Information Technology staff is about to be outsourced or let go.
