Pros

There really is not any. I was glad to land a position with State Farm.

Cons

-Working in a call center is a nightmare to begin with -Time off policies are poor compared to competitors -Very little advancement opportunity -They act like the call center jobs are your careers and don't help you pursue other goals

Pros

Country has a excellent training program for new agents. Country offers a base salary helping new agents get established. The support of the home office, the claim's department and underwriting is a huge asset for the agents.

Cons

It is very difficult to find a work-life balance in this job. The emphasis for new agents is sales. However, there is a lot of service work that eats into servicing current clients. This becomes more evident as your business grows. There is not enough agent support staff for new agents. It is a great way to learn the business, but it takes away from sales which new agents are measured.
