low salary, high turn-over, petty work environment, miserable employees, incompetent supervisors, lack of accountability for some employees while overly punitive measures for others, high-school cliquish like environment

Misinformed and uneducated staff regarding clinical issues on co-occurring issues, substance use disorders, mental health disorders, clinical interventions, etc. Ever-changing organizational structure that changes policies, job responsibilities, location of job, expectations of job Unprofessional communication from directors down to staff members

My department was understaffed & when anything went wrong, I was blamed.

Pros

Great benefits . Horizon BCBS, Delta Dental, VSP and company provided Life Insurance . You can really make a difference . Great mission and kind employees . Great place to work if you are a social worker . Provides reimbursement for continuing education . Great place to work if you get along with management . Most employees cared about and supported each other .

Cons

Lower pay scale than other related positions . People are treated differently based on if management likes them or not . Policies only matter to certain people and when it benefits management . While I was there, there was a very high turnover rate . No administrative training provided . No support from administrative management . Profits go back to executives instead of going back into the company or to employees .
