      Great Health Benefits Decent Pay Some very good people at the Manager and Individual contributor level (L3, L4 and L5)

      Cons

      CP is one of the most toxic places to work in the whole World. It all started with the former and late CEO. The number of the employees not working due to mental health issues is baffling. Bullying and gaslighting is very systemic and I strongly believe this is beyond repair. There are a very few good people at the Director level and above (very few) but the majority of them really need coaching on how to be decent human beings. If you value your mental well being avoid this company like the plague

      Not much to say here. The benefits are ok but you get killed in union dues. Working on trains is kind of cool though.

      Cons

      Horrible environment. Terrible company culture. They pretend to care about their employees, and about safety, but they don't give a damn about anything but profits. Short staffed shop. Missing tools. Missing parts. Very disorganized. The morale is terrible. Everyone hates their job and all they do is complain. Get ready to be miserable the entire time you're working there. Shifts are around the clock but nothing gets done.

      - annual bonus system can become lucrative

      Cons

      - be ready for annual health and benefit reductions , long work hours, no thanks, and constant staff shortages. I wouldn’t work here unless you are unemployed and have no other choice, I spent 18 months here and it was 17 months and 29 days too many.
